When we’re in a crisis situation, it’s always good to go back to basics. And for me, that means the POWER OF THOUGHT. Because if I don’t like something I’ve attracted into my life, I can always circle it back to ME, and see that it was my own train of thought that spiraled me there.

I was the guest speaker at a CBWN event this week; a local women’s business group. I had the chance to meet some lovely women, and share my knowledge of the power of thought. My message to them was something like this.

Three very important things to remember in life:

We become what we think about.

We attract what we feel.

We create what we imagine.

Most people create, what I call, by “default”. They unconsciously go about their day, with their thoughts darting in every direction. If you know the power of your thought, you would want to harness it, and point it in the direction of what you want!

Studies have shown that when we’re not consciously thinking, our thoughts are 80% negative. And guess what else. Our thoughts today are 90% the same as yesterday!

Well, if the three points above reign true (which I know they do), then if we want NEW and AMAZING things to come into our lives, we’re going to have to check in with our thoughts and make a change!

My go-to for becoming a conscious thinker, is what I call PRE-PAVING. By pre-paving, we fill our minds with positive statements to line up the day for what we want. For example, our very first thought of the day can be:  “SOMETHING WONDERFUL IS GOING TO HAPPEN TODAY!” And when we’re brushing our teeth, our thoughts can be what we want to get done, or how we want the day to shape up, and so on. Instead of unconsciously dreading the day ahead or our looming task list, choose to take charge of your day by consciously intending what you want it to look like. Some powerful pre-paves to say each day are:  “I DEEPLY CONNECT WITH OTHERS”.  “MY MEETINGS ARE SUCCESSFUL BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS” and “I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME TO ACCOMPLISH ALL I NEED TO TODAY.”

In this way, we change our destiny, one pre-pave at a time, one day at a time.

Give it a try. Start your day tomorrow telling the Universe what YOU want to happen, instead of being a victim of circumstance!

Namaste,

Elisabeth
